Secrets of Great Relationships: For Individuals and Couples
Friday, March 22, 2019 To Sunday, March 24, 2019
For one human being to love another, that is the most difficult of all of our tasks; the ultimate, the last test and proof, for which all other work is but preparation. ?Rainer Maria Rilke A great relationship means more than just staying together. Unless we enjoy trust, intimacy, caring, and love with our partner, we are sharing an arrangement, not a true partnership. We seek relationships hoping to bring greater fulfillment and meaning into our lives, yet for a disturbing number of couples the dreams of infatuation soon dissolve into the disappointment of a cold and joyless relationship or end in divorce. The biggest mistake that many people make is not in expecting too much from their relationships, but in desiring too little. A true partnership can not only provide security, pleasure, intimacy, and fun, but also can be a means through which our deepest longings are awakened and ultimately realized. In this workshop, we will examine the unique qualities that exceptional relationships embody and identify the various means through which it is possible to develop and integrate those qualities, and to manage the inevitable differences that arise. We will identify and engage in practices that can transform the quality of connection in ways that promote co-creativity, unconditional acceptance, and spiritual awakening. This workshop provides tools that can promote enduring love and deep intimacy. This workshop welcomes couples of all gender orientations. Black Marriages Matter Symposium
Saturday, March 23, 2019 To Saturday, March 23, 2019
In Celebration of National Black Marriage Day (March 24), we celebrate: 2nd Annual Black Marriages Matter Symposium & Conference, A Free Community Event Recognizing and Celebrating Black Marriages Marriage Built 2 Lasts presents Black Marriages Matter Symposium and Conference in recognition of National Black Marriage Day which is recognized on March 24. Our company Marriage Built 2 Last has started a Global Marriage Movement that?s been in effect for the past 2 years. For National Black Marriage Day we want to celebrate and impact marriages in our community. We are giving back to our community by making this a free event for everyone. We are inviting our state and local politicians, local community and business leaders, Pastors, and leaders in marriage, family and relationship businesses and ministry. Our 1st goal is to have a symposium where we discuss the current state and current statistics on the state of our black marriages, community, family, kids and education. We will have a panel of experts to address these issues. We plan to inspire, educate, train and inform our community on how we can improve and grow our economics. Marriage and the family have a huge impact on the community and economy. Right now marriage is on the decline and blacks who get married have drastically declined. We want to reignite, re-excite and re-train people on what marriage is really all about. The next initiative at this event will be to recognize and facilitate, train and celebrate couples in many categories: Newlyweds, Millennials or Young Marriage, Remarriage, Second Marriages, Golden Marriages, etc. We will have entertainment of dance, song and spoken word to enhance the message of strong and committed marriages, community and family. This event is for newlyweds, engaged, couples seriously dating, singles and marrieds. Everyone must register to attend: www.blackmarriagesmatter2019.eventbrite.com

How to Survive the First 5 for Newlyweds
Saturday, March 23, 2019 To Saturday, March 23, 2019
Taylormade Life Resources presents "How to Survive the First 5" for newlyweds. Regardless of whether you're still in that honeymoon phase or have experienced challenges during the first few weeks, the first few months, or perhaps the first few years of marriage - this class is for you! Hear from Premarital Coaches, Dale and Leechia Taylor, who have been married for a few weeks shy of 30 years. No children but God had a plan! They survived the first nine and can now laugh, but it was definitely no laughing matter when they were "going through it." As part of their testimony, "Team Taylor" offers words of advice on how to survive the first five years of marriage. What do you do when you know that you know, you heard from God but your life, your marriage, hasn't turn out the way you had planned? What do you do, when you think the grass may have been greener on the other side? Marriage is one of the greatest steps of faith you will ever take because in the natural, you really truly don't know whether it's going to work out or not. But marriage is God's idea so because He created it, He created you to succeed in it. Topics for Discussion will include: How to Handle Trouble, Don't Act Like You're Still Single, and the Importance of Prioritizing Your Relationships. Registration is $30/couple via Eventbrite.com.
